F16 Air Vent

This is the 3D model of F16 Air Vent.

It’s the air vent that goes behind the ACES II ejection seat, not the eye ball air vent on the central console pedestal.

The louver and the outside frame are made of plastic. The rest is made out of aluminum sheet, about 0.05” thick. I have also modeled the internal battles. The main body is a one-piece stamped aluminum. There is not way we pit builders can make this exactly. But, we can always cheat with fiber glass construction (easy to make, just a wooden block with a big small carving as the plug would get you a mold). The internal frame and baffles are modeled using SolidWorks sheet metal, so you can easily flatten them out, cut out and bend.

The flush rivets and screw holes are not modeled. I figure they are drilled on site when assembled. So, I omitted them. Also, the two “notches” on the main body has some ripple lines on them... I am not even sure if they are intentionally made there. Maybe they are, maybe they are not, but I see no real reason to model those seemingly random and not useful features. It’s not like they are going to bump into the ejection seat rails. So, I omitted the ripples too.
